ITEMS NOT IN THE KIT -
chipboard , magnets, red tape, priority envelope, and white cardstock.
First you will need 3 sheets of 12 x 12 cardstock for you base pages cut at 8 3/4 x 12.
on the 8 3/4 side you will score at 1/2 inch 4 5/8 inch and 4 3/4 inch.
Turn cardstock over and score at 6 inches.
Below will show you the cut areas. cut where you see dotted lines.
Then fold where you have scored and should look like this..
I have added white electrical tape to the binding side for reinforcements..
After all 3 pages are folded you add red tape to all flaps where you added the electric tape. This is your spine of the album. it should look like this. you attach one flap to the other to attach the pages together..
Then you should be left with this..This will be attached to the spine of your cover.
To make the cover you should cut 2 pieces of of medium weight chipboard at 7 x 4 1/2 and spine one at 7 2 1/2 .
Then I used priority mail enveloped to help with the hinges this make it stronger. I adhered 2 x 7 inch pieces to both front and back with red strong tape. Just stick all your pieces in the order they need to be as shown below and add you strips..
Then add tape all around to cover you cover. You can use whatever paper you want or cardstock. All you do is cover your album with paper. then you will add your book above to the spine of the cover. then you off to decorate the inside of your album. (You may like to decorate your album before attaching to the cover spine. That is up to you how you want to do that part)
Then you will make the flaps that will fit in your album pages.. Cut 6 4 x 12 pieces and score at 6 inches. These will go in each page back and front of the 3 pockets..
I have added magnets to mine before add pattern paper so it can stay close.. This is optional i just like the way it hold things together..
Below is the pages open and i show you where I added magnets...
I also made my own tags and added them( as you see in my finish photo) to each pocket as well..
Hope I explained right and you can follow along to make your own mini..
